Android Annotation Update Instructions

If you have received a notice on your Android device that one or more of your notes, highlights or other annotations are out of sync and need to be updated, please select one of the devices below to update your annotations.
The annotations cannot be updated from your Android device, you will need to go to another device to complete the update.

Windows PC Instructions

    From your Windows computer:
  1. Open BibleReader and click on the "Purchased Books" tab on the left sidebar.
  2. Find the resource that has notes out of sync and click on "Install Purchased Product" to download the most up-to-date version of the resource.
  3. After the download finishes, open the resource and find the note, highlight or bookmark that is out of sync.
  4. Tap on the note, highlight or bookmark that is out of sync. You should be prompted to update the annotation.
  5. Select "Update all annotations" to start the annotation updater.
    Note: This process takes time to complete, please do not cancel the updater or close the application during the update.
  6. After annotations finish updating, click on the BibleReader menu button on the top left of the window
  7. Select "Backup and Sync" from the menu options to sync your updated notes
  8. Return to your Android device and go to the "My Stuff" menu to sync the newly updated notes and highlights to your Android device.

Mac Instructions

From your Mac
  1. Open BibleReader and click on the "Purchased Books" tab on the left sidebar.
  2. Find the resource that has notes out of sync and click on "Install Purchased Product" to download the most up-to-date version of the resource.
  3. After the download finishes, open the resource and find the note, highlight or bookmark that is out of sync.
  4. Tap on the note, highlight or bookmark that is out of sync. You should be prompted to update the annotation.
  5. Select on "Update Them Now" to start the annotation updater.
  6. After annotations finish updating, click on "File" from the top Mac menu bar.
  7. Select "Backup and Sync" from the menu options to sync your updated notes
  8. Return to your Android device and go to the "My Stuff" menu to sync the newly updated notes and highlights to your Android device.

iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad Instructions

From your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch
  1. Open BibleReader and tap on "Library" and scroll to the bottom of your library.
  2. Tap on Check for Updates
  3. Find the resource that has notes out of sync and tap on it to download the most up-to-date version of the resource.
  4. After the download finishes, open the resource and find the note, highlight or bookmark that is out of sync.
  5. Tap on the note, highlight or bookmark that is out of sync. You should be prompted to update the annotation.
  6. "This annotation needs to be updated to match the resource it is associated with." Select on "Yes" to start the annotation updater.
  7. After annotations finish updating, quit BibleReader and restart the app.
  8. Once BibleReader restarts, tap on the suitcase icon (My Stuff) on the top of the window and tap on "Backup & Sync" to sync your updated notes.
  9. Return to your Android device and go to the "My Stuff" menu to sync the newly updated notes and highlights to your Android device.
