Using Your Library

  1. Click on the Library icon on the top left of the window.
  2. Your Library will pop-up, arranged by category.
  3. Scroll through your Library to find the book you want.
  4. Click on the title and then click on “Open” in the bottom right corner of the Library window.

Navigating Your Books and Bibles

To change locations within a Bible:

  1. Click on the “Go To” icon on the top left of the window.
  2. The 3-step verse-chooser will pop-up.
    1. First click on the book of the Bible you’d like to display.
    2. The chapters within that book will pop-up. Click on the desired chapter.
    3. The verses within that chapter will pop-up. Click on the desired verse.

The chosen verse will now display in the main window.

 

To change locations within a book:

  1. Click on the “Go To” icon on the top left of the window.
  2. Click on a chapter title (eBook), letter (dictionary), or date (devotional).
    1. Clicking on an item with an arrow will display more sections within that item.
    2. Click on the section you would like to go to.

The chosen verse will now display in the main window.

 

Searching

  1. Click on the search input bar on the top right of the window “Enter Bible Verse or Topic”.
  2. Type in your search request and hit enter. The results will display in the right sidebar.
  3. Scroll through the results to find related topics, articles and results within your current book and other books in your library.
  4. Click on a result to display all the matches for your search item.
  5. Click on an individual result to bring up that text in the sidebar.

Downloading and Purchasing Products

In the left sidebar:

  1. Click on “Free Books” to view and download free books directly to your BibleReader
    1. Available free books will display. To see product descriptions for any book, click on the title of the book.
    2. To download a free book, click on the “Download for free” button. The product will download to your BibleReader and can be found in your Library.
  2. Click on “Purchased Books” to download books you’ve already purchased.
    1. Click on “Install Purchased Product” to download the resource to your BibleReader.
    2. You may also go to Olivetree.com and purchase books using your OliveTree account. These books will display in your Purchased Books tab.
  3. Click on “Book Store” to see all products available for download and purchase.
    1. To see product descriptions for any book, click on the title of the book.
    2. To purchase a book, click on the “Buy now” button. Confirm your purchase by pressing “Buy” and you will be prompted for your iTunes account password.
    3. After entering your password, the product will download to your BibleReader.





If you are not seeing all of your books in the “Purchased Books” tab:

From your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch

  1. Open your library and then tap on the “Store” button.
  2. Tap on the Purchased Tab.
  3. Tap on “Back up and synchronize books with your Olive Tree account
  4. Input your account information or make sure information is correct and tap on “Login”

If you do not have an Olive Tree account

  1. Follow steps 1-3 from above.
  2. Tap on “Create Account”
  3. Enter your email address and a password and tap on “Create Account”

After you have backed up your books you should see them under the “Purchased Books” tab on your Mac. You may need to navigate away from the “Purchased Books” tab and click back to it for the changes to appear.

If you have just created a new account, close BibleReader on your Mac, reopen it and login to your account by going to the Account tab on your top menu bar.

After you login on your Mac, your books should now appear in the “Purchased Books” tab.

*Free downloads are not registered and will not automatically appear in your Library. You will need to re-download free items to your Mac from the “Free Books” tab.
