    you threw down those who opposed you.
You unleashed your burning anger;^(E)
    it consumed^(F) them like stubble.
⁸ By the blast of your nostrils^(G)
    the waters piled up.^(H)
The surging waters stood up like a wall;^(I)
    the deep waters congealed in the heart of the sea.^(J)
9 The enemy boasted,
    ‘I will pursue,^(K) I will overtake them.
I will divide the spoils;^(L)
    I will gorge myself on them.
I will draw my sword
    and my hand will destroy them.’
¹⁰ But you blew with your breath,^(M)
    and the sea covered them.
They sank like lead
    in the mighty waters.^(N)
11 Who among the gods
    is like you,^(O) Lord?
Who is like you—
    majestic in holiness,^(P)
awesome in glory,^(Q)
    working wonders?^(R)

¹² “You stretch out^(S) your right hand,
    and the earth swallows your enemies.^(T)
13 In your unfailing love you will lead^(U)
    the people you have redeemed.^(V)
In your strength you will guide them
    to your holy dwelling.^(W)
14 The nations will hear and tremble;^(X)
    anguish^(Y) will grip the people of Philistia.^(Z)
15 The chiefs^(AA) of Edom^(AB) will be terrified,
    the leaders of Moab will be seized with trembling,^(AC)
the people^[a] of Canaan will melt^(AD) away;
¹⁶     terror^(AE) and dread will fall on them.
By the power of your arm
    they will be as still as a stone^(AF)—
until your people pass by, Lord,
    until the people you bought^[b](AG) pass by.^(AH)
17 You will bring^(AI) them in and plant^(AJ) them
    on the mountain^(AK) of your inheritance—
the place, Lord, you made for your dwelling,^(AL)
    the sanctuary,^(AM) Lord, your hands established.
