While studying Colossians thoroughly, Theodore H. Epp noticed a common thread in the letter pointing to the sufficiency and supremacy of Christ in our lives and beliefs. He explored this thread as well as other themes in a series of radio programs through The Good News Broadcasting Association. At the end of the series he edited the messages for this book, completing it as a commentary on Colossians.
