Description

De Herziene Statenvertaling (HSV) is tot stand gekomen op initiatief van de Gereformeerde Bond in de Protestantse Kerk. Voor de realisatie werd een stichting opgericht: Stichting Herziene Statenvertaling. Op 4 december 2010 werd de HSV gepresenteerd in Dordrecht en geactualiseerd in 2016. De vertaling volgt de grondtekst die de Statenvertalers gebruikten, de zogenaamde Textus Receptus. In feite beoogt de HSV niets meer en niets minder te zijn dan een restauratie van de Statenvertaling van 1637. Uitgever van de Herziene Statenvertaling is Royal Jongbloed in opdracht van Stichting HSV.

The Herziene Statenvertaling (Revised States' Bible) was initiated by the Gereformeerde Bond in the Protestant Church of the Netherlands. A special trust was founded to perform the work. On December 4, 2010, the HSV was presented in Dordrecht and updated in 2016. The translation uses the same original text of the Bible - the so called Textus Receptus - as the translators of the 17th Century did. As a matter of fact, the Revised Version aims to be nothing less than a restoration of the original Statenvertaling of 1637. The Revised Version is published by Royal Jongbloed in co-operation with the Stichting Herziene Statenvertaling (HSV; Foundation Revised States' Bible).
