Description

This update of the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV), combined with Strong's tagging, builds on the rich legacy of a trusted translation. The National Council of Churches of Christ (NCC) commissioned the Society of Biblical Literature (SBL) to bring the latest scholarship to this update of the NRSV, resulting in over 20,000 revisions to the text. It is designed to help readers explore the meanings of ancient texts in light of the cultures that produced them, bringing unprecedented readability, accessibility, and inclusivity. Striving for historical and linguistic accuracy in translation, the NRSV Updated Edition is a Bible suitable for reading in worship services, personal study, or scholarship.

This edition is combined with the popular Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance, which contains all of the Bible’s meaningful, significant words and their Greek/Hebrew counterparts. Tapping or clicking on a word or Strong's number in the text displays the dictionary information. A setting within the app allows you to choose whether to make the Strong's numbers visible.

Because the word is tied to its underlying Greek or Hebrew word, you can perform a search that will show you literally every occurrence of it in the Bible, regardless of the linguistic form. This powerful search process gives you the virtual equivalent of the Englishman's Greek and Hebrew Concordances and of Young's Analytical Concordance with your NRSVue.
