The Exegetical Guide to the Greek New Testament (EGGNT) closes the gap between the Greek text and the available lexical and grammatical tools, providing all the necessary information for greater understanding of the text. The series makes interpreting any given New Testament book easier, especially for those who are hard pressed for time but want to preach or teach with accuracy and authority.
The Exegetical Guide to the Greek New Testament is a series that seeks to bring together classroom, study, and pulpit by providing the student or pastor with the information needed to understand and expound the Greek text of the New Testament.
Each volume begins with a brief introduction to the particular New Testament book, a basic outline, and a list of recommended commentaries. The body is devoted to a translation and paraphrase of the whole book and extensive paragraph-by-paragraph exegesis of the Greek text. Also included are homiletical helps and suggestions for further study along with a glossary of grammatical and rhetorical terms. A comprehensive exegetical outline of the New Testament book completes each EGGNT volume.
Reviews
"We are in debt to Colin Kruse for his patient and meticulous study of the Greek text of 2 Corinthinans, which will be of inestimable value for those who teach from this epistle. This is a remarkable achievement that will bless congregations for years to come. All praise for the vision of the series editors." - Paul Barnett, Lecturer Emeritus, Moore Theological College
"Colin Kruse's 2 Corinthians goes considerably beyond Greek details, prividing a very useful guide to the meaning of the text. Bcause the commentary is relatively uncluttered with references to secondary sources, its interpretive guidance is easily followed. This volume should be used by anyone working with the Greek text of 2 Corinthians." - Douglas Moo, Wessner Chair of Biblical Studies, Wheaton College, and Chair, Committee on Bible Translation
