Die Lutherbibel ist die klassische deutsche Bibelübersetzung. Sie ist nach wie vor die Bibel mit der größten Verbreitung im deutschsprachigen Raum. Zum Reformationsjubiläum wird die revidierte Lutherbibel 2017 der neue offizielle Text der Evangelischen Kirche in Deutschland.

Damit die Bibel Martin Luthers nicht zum sprachlichen Museumsstück wurde, hat die Evangelische Kirche in Deutschland seit dem Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts in mehreren Anläufen die Lutherbibel revidiert. Seit dem 19.10.2016 liegt die Lutherbibel in der revidierte Fassung "Lutherbibel 2017" vor. Der Bibeltext wurde komplett durchgesehen und zum Start des Reformationsjubiläums veröffentlicht. In dieser Fassung stellt die Lutherbibel heute den offiziellen Bibeltext der evangelischen Kirchen dar. Darüber hinaus sind auch ältere Fassungen des Luthertextes (Luthers Ausgabe letzter Hand von 1545 sowie die wichtigen Revision aus den Jahren 1912 und 1984) noch erhältlich.
