BibleReader Features and Screenshots
Verse Chooser allows you to quickly navigate anywhere you want to go in the Bible. Three touches allow you to choose book, chapter, and verse.
Library lets you sort books by category, Bible version, and author—or you can scroll through a list of all titles. Favorites Mark books as Favorites to organize a large personal library for quick browsing. Add or remove books from Favorites easily using Edit. Customizable Tabs Choose which buttons you'd like available at the bottom of the Library screen. From the Library screen, choose More, Edit, and then drag and drop icons to create your customized tab bar. Complete Text Available Offline When a title is in your library, it is stored on your iPhone. You can access all of it, all the time, without an active internet connection or complicated "caching" procedures.
Add a bookmark to mark a favorite verse or collect references to study later. Organize groups of bookmarks with folders.
Add a note to record your personal thoughts or questions on any verse. Choose from 50+ different note icons Organize your notes by topic or occasion, using folders you create. View your notes in every Bible translation.
Split Screen lets you compare translations, view notes and reference material, and read commentary resources side-by-side. Scrolling is linked so you never lose your place. (This option is adjustable.) Watch a video demonstration of how to use split screens on BibleReader. Strong's Numbers let you map any word in the Bible to its Greek or Hebrew root. The Strong's number information, in Greek or Hebrew or in transliterated characters, depending on which resource you're using, appears in a pop-up window. Want to try out Strong's numbers for free? Download the New American Standard Bible (NASB) Free Demo with Strong's Numbers for iPhone. Pop-ups can be used in other ways too. Learn more about pop-ups in Settngs.
Original Languages Read original language Bibles in beautifully rendered fonts. Greek and Hebrew fonts are automatically included when you download BibleReader.
Word Search lets you find all occurrences of a certain word throughout the entire Bible. You can also go to a verse by typing it in the search bar. You can also enter search terms in Greek and Hebrew. Search Results show each occurrence in context, with your search term in bold. Verse references are hyperlinked so you can navigate with one touch to that chapter and verse of the Bible to read more.
Your most recent search results are saved as a "book" in the Library (check under "Categories"), so you can return to them later. Greek and Hebrew search results are highlighted too.
The Settings menu lets you adjust the font, color, and other display elements, to make reading easier. Under Settings, you'll also find options for hyperlinks, to control where notes and other resources open and how they display, and options for split windows, including syncing, slider position, one-tap split windows, and more. Choose where note, ditionary entries, cross-references, and other resources display. You can set them to open in pop-up windows or a split-screen. |
